AHHHH!

Nationals, baseball tryouts, and my beekeeper class was all at the exact same time. I could only make it to the meeting for 10 minutes and that was all about how to move the frames to make sure your bees use the entire hive. Dad was there and he took notes and talked to me all about what i missed such as disease and mites. He took me back so I could dance and Stan stayed for the rest of the time. I got my hive parts with everything i need to make a hive. I got two brood boxes I've almost finished and a smoker a hat with veil and 4 gloves, 20 frames, inner cover, telescoping cover, bottom board and hive tool. I put everything together and just need to square and nail it all off. I'm really excited to finish and have it ready for when the bees come. The next class is in Lees' field. I will have some pics in a little of what I have.

Beekeeper potluck!

Yesterday I went to a beekeepers potluck. It was from 6-8pm. There was plenty of great foods that people had brought. It was really fun. Afterwards we were given a lesson on how to feed bees. I learned about patties and techniques on how to care for my bees more properly. The next meeting I will go to is next week. It is my second of three classes. I believe we will receive our hive and frames and whatever we won. Except far the bees. They come later once we have enough time to build our frames.
